Last Wednesday, @NYPDChiefOfDept attended a City Council public safety hearing where he said that the NYPD uses the “lightest touch possible” when policing protests. This is the 3rd time this month (that I know of) where the NYPD knocked a protester unconscious while making arrests.

@isabelle_leyva @NYPDChiefOfDept As a paramedic we had ways to figure out if someone was legit unconscious or not. The cranial nerves will give you away everytime.
@isabelle_leyva @NYPDChiefOfDept Apparently it was a chokehold. I was there about 10 mns after it happened and that is what the other press folk said. Completely unprovoked. It was a small and non violent crowd
