Today, we have been increasing the capacity for mobilising biodiversity data into biodiversity data standards. Biodiversity data standards facilitate easy sharing and accessibility to data, as well as transformation into decision support tools.
Sustainable aquatic resource use is guided by modelling and forecasting. These can only be done with accurate and well-structured data. @jlugya
We must have harmonised #datacollection procedures to ensure the data collected is consistent. Once we have collected all the data and it is available, then we shall have decision support tools grounded in data. @Labanmusinguzi
Accurate deductions & policies follow good accessible data thus, #datastorage is as important as #data-collection. If you share data that is not understandable, you are misusing the resources that were used on the project to collect the data. @Labanmusinguzi
A robust #freshwaterbiodiversity portal is the foundation for effective conservation, fisheries management & #climateresilience. All datasets and biodiversity information products will be and accessed through @fwbpUganda portal.
The #freshwaterbiodiverity portal for UG🇺🇬 brings together data from researchers & conservation practitioners, making it easier to support research, policy-making, conservation planning & #sustainablefisheries management. We are working towards updating it. @fwbpUganda
