Continuing our behind-the-scenes launch prep series, all about how we’re getting ready to ship a production-grade AI dev tool. Yesterday was about polishing core use cases. Today: Pre-debug the debugger. If part of our stack is your own AI model, you know that AI outputs won’t always be right, and sometimes they look right when they’re not. Before launch, make sure your tool can handle (ie. modify and correct): – Code that doesn’t compile – Incomplete answers – Confident but wrong suggestions Tip: Add a “Was this helpful?” button so users can flag weird behavior right away.

Part 4 of our launch prep series: sharing what we’re doing behind the scenes to get our AI dev tool ready for prime time. We’ve covered core use cases, debugging the debugger, and building the knowledge layer. Today: Establish trust by being radically transparent. - Be upfront about what your tool can do, and what it can’t today. - Share your roadmap and commitments in terms features and timing - Highlight safe defaults, known limitations, and edge cases. - Show, don’t tell. Limit steps to use the product to the minimum. Tip: If your tool writes or modifies code, make approval flows obvious and non automatic, don't be a black box, the developer should be in control at all times.
