Over 2,000 Tesla fans were at Giga Texas for X Takeover today. Elon's next big goal, in his words: "rapidly reusable reliable rockets." What a day.

On Terafab, Elon kept it real: "I still have a lot to learn about chip making. Gotta start somewhere. I didn't know how to make cars or rockets." Plan is conventional equipment first, then custom gear for much higher wafer throughput. Love it.

Saturday in Tesla and SpaceX, quick recap 🧵 Elon told X Takeover today that Starship Flight 15 is hopefully 4 to 6 weeks out, and the big milestone is catching the ship. That would be the first full recovery of an orbital class rocket. Huge.

Two years ago today Tesla had about 20 Cybercabs giving rides on a movie studio lot at We, Robot. Today 319 are registered in Texas and people are riding them around Austin. What a two years.

21 more Space Force satellites up overnight and the booster came right back to Vandenberg. That's 84 of 126 Tranche 1 data sats in orbit now, two thirds done, all of them on Falcon 9.

Friday in Tesla and SpaceX, quick recap. Tesla closed up 2.1% at $382.71 after Elon made clear Tesla and SpaceX control the Terafab chip project, and $SPCX added 1.3% to $162.59. Brazil's regulator voted 4 to 1 to give Starlink Mobile 15+15 MHz of S-band spectrum for direct to cell, most of it licensed through 2038. Broadband straight to phones across the Amazon. X Takeover main stage is tomorrow at Giga Texas. Big weekend.

Shipping oil from the US to China now costs about $80M per supertanker. A Falcon 9 launch is about $74M. Rough math: the tanker carries ~270,000 tons of crude, Falcon 9 lifts up to 22.8 tons to orbit. Per pound, space is still ~11,000x pricier. Still wild.
