my biggest surprise w/ #applevisionpro is how uninterested I am in fully immersive apps. an app that completely takes over my view is far less interesting in here than customizing an environment w/ a large number of simultaneous windows and volumes. I don't want ports from #VR.
@iBrews I’m finding VR-only experiences in Vision Pro… somehow claustrophobic, relative to AR functionality. It’s an odd feeling.
@iBrews Did you try the vr180 content? I think that finds the sweet spot
@iBrews Okay, but please acknowledge that you are probably not representing the average consumer 😄 The average consumer wants to acquire an XR device which can run as many and as varied applications as possible. Without a proper VR library, the Apple Vision products will sell worse.
@iBrews I'm the exact opposite - when I saw how good those 4 Disney+ environments looked, I wanted to instinctively teleport and move around in them, especially the Monsters Inc. one. I want Half Life: ALYX style navigation, and yes, play it on AVP too. It's a great VR headset!
