Grounding techniques can be helpful when you start getting overwhelmed. Count the things around you that are familiar. Find the red, orange, yellow, green. Heads, shoulders, knees, toes. A, B, C, D. You’ve got this. Don’t give up.

Time isn’t real. At least, not in the way you think. While it may feel like you’re constantly falling behind, remember that everyone moves along at their own paces. Allow yourself to take your time, and don’t let the stress get to you. You’re doing great.

Night time is on the horizon, and yet, sleeping is the last thing on your mind. Thoughts are bouncing around in your head. What’s going to happen? You can’t be sure of that. You never can. But as you gaze into the warm orange sky, you have a feeling everything will be alright.

Remember that your future can ultimately only be decided by you. Others can try and influence it, but in the end, make sure that you’re the one who is okay with the direction your life is going in. If you aren’t, then don’t be ashamed to reach out to others for help.

It’s always tough trying new things. Sometimes you’ll want to try a new activity, but it feels like no matter how much you try, people around you are always better. Remember that you don’t have to be good at things to enjoy them. Take your time, and enjoy the process.
