Conspiracy theorists have made this country substantially dumber on the whole during the last decade or so. It’s gotten so much worse. Your insane uncle who says insane things at the Thanksgiving table is now like 40% of the population on any given day.

Marge here believed in Qanon and now she serves in congress and is one of the biggest fundraisers in the Republican Party.
@hutchinson Not agreeing with mtg but It’s good that we question things. We realized there was fake news, that meta evolved (both sides at fault). Which turned into people realizing they’re being lied to. Which turned into people questioning events and not taking things at face value.
@hutchinson People are allowed to question their reality. Believing the first thing you hear without looking into things and researching theories, possibilities and outcomes of a situation is straight up drone behaviour. Question everything.
@hutchinson I remember the good ole days when we all just bought into the same propaganda, truth or not. Good times.
@hutchinson I agree this should not be investigated and it’s irresponsible to have even considered potential causes when this happened.
@hutchinson With how reliant we are on technology and how it is interwoven into every facet of our lives and inflamed tensions abroad, it’s still not outside of the realm of possibilities. Jumping to conclusions isn’t what we should do though.
@hutchinson Bro is acting like conspiracies just came out like 10 years ago lmao.
@hutchinson If 40% of the population is saying that, then maybe it's worth an investigation.
@hutchinson My uncle once told me that dinosaurs didn’t exist. They were never real. That’s the Republican party in 2024.
@hutchinson The people who believe everything they’re told by the government and corporate press are just as much to blame as the guy wearing a literal tinfoil hat while talking about the flat earth.
