Like solving a simple mathematics equation, at #NewYork University, an American student asked me, 'Amjad, how can I choose the right side without losing my friends?' I responded, 'You're on the right side if you're not advocating harm against innocent people. Anyone justifying actions like rape, arson, and murder, as committed by #Hamas – Muslim Brotherhood –terrorists on October 7th in #Israel, is on the wrong side. #ColumbiaUniversity
@amjadt25 But Dropping bombs on innocent people is ok?
@BronzeeLoe Absolutely not. That's why the world should stand against Hezbollah, the Lebanese terrorist group that has been bombing northern Israel daily and has forcibly displaced 100,000 innocent civilians, including Druze, Arabs, Muslims, and Jews.
@amjadt25 @BronzeeLoe You’re worried about 100,000 Israelis when 2,000,000 have been displaced? If you want to be fair and non-biased, then it’s not working out.
@Ragheb78 @amjadt25 @BronzeeLoe But what happened before October 7? Has anyone been displaced or bombed in Gaza?
I lived in Israel in the 90s. Before Gaza was walled off. There were suicide bombers blowing up buses or shops on a weekly basis. Quite the motivator for walling off Gaza. Of course now Israel detractors are saying they made Gaza an open air prison when really they just wanted the terrorism to stop. Israel is being put in a tough situation and has been since it was formed. And before you ask the Jews didn't steal the land. There has always been a Jewish presence in that area. They wanted a 2 state solution from the beginning but it's the Palestinians who turned it down and the few who didn't .... Their descendants are living free in Israel. Israel isn't the issue.
@henryjonesjrjr @elena_henkel @Ragheb78 @amjadt25 @BronzeeLoe I remember those times, I was afraid to take a bus or even to going to crowded places, there were horrific suicide attacks. But of course, we are the bad guys because we don't let the hamasnikim to kill us.
My family is from Palestine and we have lived there for more generations than I can count. I’ve been multiple times in the 80s and I do recall the presence of Palestinian Jews. Their neighbors on the old city were Jewish. There is no denial that Jews existed in the Middle East for centuries. The issue is with the right wing settlers and migrants who believe they are entitled to land that not theirs. Jewish converts from NY are now claiming indigenous status!! There is no arguing that the successive oppressive governments in Israeli contributed to the rise of Hamas - Israel supported the establishment of Hamas to counter Fateh. Israel’s existence in its current form depends on Hamas, Hizboulah and Iran. If none of these existed then there is no scarecrow to protect the west from! I care about Hamas as much as you do. I care more about children who are being massacred and worry that American politics had lost its moral compass.
@henryjonesjrjr @elena_henkel @Ragheb78 @amjadt25 @BronzeeLoe Yip i was there early 90s during the first Intifada when there still seemed to be some hope for a better future for all
@henryjonesjrjr @elena_henkel @Ragheb78 @amjadt25 @BronzeeLoe Someone is hard nourishing this circle of violence, and its not the ordinary people in Gaza
