As your state senator, one of my top priorities is keeping taxes low. That's why I supported measures to reduce Indiana's income tax rate. Thanks to these cuts, Hoosiers are saving nearly $200M on income taxes which will grow in the coming years. #INLegis indianasenaterepublicans.com/working-to-hel…

Those who require complex care are especially affected by the proposed Structured Family Caregiving policy from @FSSAIndiana. Advocates meet with @GovHolcomb Monday. #INGov #INLegis
More data from @LungAssociation: #AirQuality in #Indiana is terrible. It’s why we advocate for cleaner, cheaper #energy and #transit solutions that lessen #carbon inputs in the Hoosier state. #INGov #INLegis

@ericweddle @Rachel_Fradette @ISTAmembers So much to unpack here. One, any current teacher with a professional license who falls under this requirement should have been grandfathered in. Two, once again, the #INLegis does its best to punish public schools and teachers. /1
@JamesEBriggs The democrats #metoo unless they’re blue mindset and hypocrisy is amazing. #INlegis
Just updated my database for SD34 caucus election of La Keisha Jackson, and noticed that since IN Senate moved to 50 numbered districts in 1972, SD34 has only been represented by women: Marie Lauck, Julia Carson, Billie/Jean Breaux, and Jackson. capitolandwashington.com/offices/office… #inlegis
🌟 Big #AfterschoolWins for #INLegis! Our collective efforts during the 2024 session helped advance access to childcare for workers, streamlined health and safety guidelines, and these changes pave the way for enhanced youth development opportunities. ayskids.org/blog/reflectio…

Indiana is one of 18 states to have never elected a woman governor. The Hoosier State has had four female lieutenant governors in its 207-year history, but Suzanne Crouch is the only one to steer a gubernatorial campaign into the primary election homestretch. #INlegis

In 2023, the @IndianaChamber proposed and the #INLegis adopted tax policies that simplify tax filing for mobile workers. Indiana remains as the only state in the Midwest with a strong policy that supports a more mobile workforce.

It's no coincidence that the #INLegis Tax Task Force has no Black women members and so far has neglected to focus on proposals for more equitable tax reform, such as a state Child Tax Credit, renter tax credit, or property tax circuit breakers. Thank you @WhitTucks & @janellecj!

Reminder: Indiana’s housing costs are artificially inflated because #INLegis refuses to close loopholes that incentivize out-of-state corporate investors to buy up the state’s housing stock and then run it into the ground without following existing housing health & safety laws.

Back at the Statehouse for the #INLegis State & Local Tax Review Task Force. We can build a stronger Indiana through a more just tax system & budget investments that would result in an economy that works for *all* Hoosiers. Watch to see their choices here: iga.in.gov/2023/committee…
Property tax circuit breakers can reduce inequality and the regressivity of state tax systems, which is badly needed as IN has the 3rd most-regressive system in the Midwest. See how #INLegis can design effective circuit breaker here: itep.org/property-tax-a…
At Wednesday's #INLegis Tax Task Force meeting, I'll be listening for proposals that would address the fact that the lowest 20% of Hoosier earners pays nearly 3X share of their incomes in #PropertyTaxes as the top 1%. A property tax 'circuit breaker' would help this burden.
