@northernassist So apparently arriving 1 hour late at our final destination is classed as a 15minute delay. All caused by you cancelling a train at short notice. Someone needs to use a calculator. Appeal sent in. #delayrepay
@Se_Railway I just missed my train because YOU do not have enough staff in ticket offices and station staff wouldn’t let me on the platform!… do I get #delayrepay for your incompetence?
Is @GWRHelp #delayrepay deliberately designed to make claiming difficult to deter claimants?
@EastMidRailway missed the train I paid a fortune for because all gates closed and staff hiding the other side of the gate line..You can check your systems to see what time the staff closed the gateline. Can I claim #delayrepay for unattended gatelines?
@natalieben @GWRHelp I often wonder why we have to complete the (often malfunctioning) #DelayRepay form at all. They already have our details. They know which passengers need to be reimbursed for their delays!
Hey @GWRHelp - given both legs of a journey on a return ticket were delayed, couldn’t your #DelayRepay form allow for claiming both at once, rather than having to go through the laborious process twice?
@NorthenrailF would you like to make it ANY more difficult to apply for a #DelayRepay? Shocking.
@SouthernRailUK my 1053 CLJ to Lewes train was delayed 17 minutes due to animals on the line earlier. Before I put my #DelayRepay claim in, could you please advise what type of animals caused the delay. Thank you
@loodofsquit Well at least you get paid to wait. That said so will the passengers who will get full refunds. #delayrepay
@tfwrail not so happy with the 2 hr delay, but it is good I am getting the price of my ticket back, but why in the days of faster banking, it should take up to 14 working days, is beyond me. #delayrepay (note some of the replies to this tweet may be scammers , so beware
@GWRHelp That's it. I give up. Constantly let down by late running and / or cancelled trains and #DelayRepay designed to be as obstructive as possible. It's back to driving everywhere for me.
Train delayed by 15 minutes, hit me with some of that sweet, sweet #delayrepay
But what gets me, is that @GWRHelp know I had tickets for that train, they know it was delayed, and they know we must have arrived late at Penzance. Why do you even have to claim for #DelayRepay when you book through their website?
When I first claimed, I accidentally claimed for 28 March, which was rightly refused by GWR, saying my tickets weren't valid on that train. I corrected that to the 29th through the #DelayRepay website.
The train to Plymouth was delayed by flooding, so instead of changing to the 12:14 to Penzance, we had to get the 12:40. That meant we arrived at least 28 minutes late, so we should be entitled to some sort of #DelayRepay
A thread about the frustrations of with @GWRHelp #DelayRepay. On Friday 29th March (Good Friday), my wife and I travelled from Paddington to Penzance, with a change in Plymouth, booked ages in advance through GWR's website.
@tfwrail My Train was delayed for 24 minutes yet you claim it wasn't, funny how I can find the info but you can't, any excuse not to pay out #Delayrepay My Reference TFW/DR/20240404/BDBJ Proof of the delay
@Se_Railway why has our delay repay for the Monday strike only been awarded £2.60!!! You guys having a laugh???? A two hour plus delay day normally gets awarded £20+ when we have claimed before #railstrikes #delayrepay
More than a little pissed off that despite rolling into York 4 hours later than timetabled, including my (London Kings X-bound) train terminating at Newcastle, @LNER have seen fit to count the delay as "59 mins" and only refunding me 50% of my fare #DelayRepay 🤬🤯
