Day 11 (4/26/2024) Godot 4.0 Made some collectable emeralds, spent way too long on the sprite for them, I don't really like it too much but I'll just keep it as a placeholder, changed up the colors for now but I plan on fixing the aesthetics of everything. #100DaysOfGameDev

Day 27 #100DaysOfGameDev I began making the music for my current game. I anticipate that not being overly critical of my work will be a challenge when it comes to this aspect of game dev. Nonetheless it feels good to be making music as it's something I've enjoyed my entire life!

Day 7 (4/22/2024) Godot 4.0 I tried coding solo today, as a beginner it was frustrating, I'm watching tutorials, though aiming to rely on them less. Added wall jumping, moon texture, and removed the gravity toggle opting for low gravity instead. #100DaysOfGameDev

Day 6 (4/21/2024) Godot 4.0 I'll go with the space theme idea from the last log. Added WASD keys in addition to the arrow keys, wasn't sure how to add them but I just had to go to input map, and made the "I" and "O" keys toggle player gravity on and off! #100DaysOfGameDev
Day 5 (4/20/2024) Godot 4.0 Today was just fine-tuning and experimentation—nothing groundbreaking. However, I got an idea while tinkering with player gravity: maybe I can turn the game into a space platformer where the player is a man on the moon? #100DaysOfGameDev
Day 4 (4/19/2024) Godot 4.0 Today, I created custom movement resources for my character, which could be useful later on, and added some air resistance. That's about it. Video laggy as always. #100DaysOfGameDev
Day 3 (4/18/2024) Godot 4.0 Progress today, Improved character sprite and added a coyote jump. Spent some time troubleshooting a jump bug—turned out to be a simple fix with the timer. Also, set the background to black. Video still chopy, I'll try to fix that. #100DaysOfGameDev
Day 2 (4/17/2024) Godot 4.0 Progress today! Spent hours tweaking movement code and simplifying it. Dealt with pesky errors, mostly minor syntax issues. Also worked on character sprite & animation—still refining it, like removing unnecessary shading. Videos Laggy #100DaysOfGameDev
