Very big development. The Stormy Daniels hush money case that DA Bragg previously mothballed is now being presented to a grand jury. via @nytimes nytimes.com/2023/01/30/nyr…
@harrylitman @nytimes go right ahead and think that; I’m a cynic at this point over whether Trump or anyone else in this country with the means to gum up the legal system ever suffers even a dent in their lifestyle
@harrylitman @nytimes “A conviction is not a sure thing, in part because a case could hinge on showing that Mr. Trump and his company falsified records to hide the payout from voters days before the 2016 election, a low-level felony charge that would be based on a largely untested legal theory”
@harrylitman @nytimes I guess this is proof, the DA will be running for reelection
@harrylitman @nytimes Harry, is there any way to know if Trump pardoned himself before leaving office?
@harrylitman @nytimes He will be dead of old age before he EVER gets formally indicted for ANYTHING
@harrylitman @MichaelCohen212 @nytimes don't get too happy! We've seen this movie before
@harrylitman @MichaelCohen212 @nytimes What’s the alleged crime? Stormy breaking the NDA?
@harrylitman @nytimes The stormy Daniels case against Trump should be a quick, legal, in and out..,,
@harrylitman @nytimes Sigh. Good. I guess... I've lost most of my faith in our system of justice over the last few years. There are a lot of criminals in high places in our government that have not been held accountable for their crimes. Trump is the most prominent, but there are so many, many more.
