📝 | An Update From HAN Global STAY from all over the world have expressed their disappointment with the staging for HAN and Felix’s unit song, “Truman,” at the latest DominATE stops in Chile. On top of the elimination of HANpop from the set list, as well as the removal of solo songs including “Hold my hand,” it’s important to be understanding that this is a stark change that many are unhappy about. We hear you, and we agree that this is an upsetting development that takes away from not only HAN’s first solo pictorial ever; it also frustrates STAY who otherwise have been incredibly enthusiastic about “Truman,” propelling it to over 5 million streams and into the Top 10 Stray Kids songs on Spotify in the first week. HAN and Felix worked hard together on this song, and it is sad to see HAN replaced with a decoy for half of the song. Later this weekend we will share analysis of the staging and the reasoning behind it from a STAY who hopes to make sense of it for the fandom by comparing it to the inspiration for the song, THE TRUMAN SHOW (1998). It is important to listen and evaluate with mindfulness, as at this time we do not know who is directly behind the decision for HAN not to be present on stage. This could be an artistic attempt at reflecting the themes in the movie and music video gone awry. However, regardless of the intention of the choices—no matter how meaningful or artistic—the end result is a stark lack of HAN in the wake of a series of seemingly endless mistreatments attributed to the company, JYPE and ONE Label. As HAN’s largest fanbase, we ask STAY to consider the sadness of their peers with empathy instead of dismissal, and to help us trend tags to make sure that JYPE and ONE Label understand that while we respect and support HAN and Felix’s choices as artists, we will NOT stand for the company’s interference, should it be their control impacting the staging. Even with the best of intentions and artistic vision, it has been clear that the staging for “Truman” has not successfully resonated with STAY, and we hope that there are adjustments that can be made to both stay true to the meaning of the song, and successfully showcase both artists.
