If only there was something to be done about the speeding cars instead of punishing the people selling art during an art event but alas, no way to fix that problem.

@hahnn12 Tunnels? Gondola? More parking? I'm really straining my brain here!
@hahnn12 What about the glut of aggressive window washers that are popping up on all the corners? Are they gonna need a permit since they’re just walking all over in traffic? Or, since they’re not taxpayers the city isn’t gonna try to squeeze every dime from them?
@hahnn12 It's not about "speeding" in terms of going faster than the posted limit, but about cars going a typical 25-30mph down a street that's expected to be for cars, and having unauthorized sidewalk vendors blocking sidewalks and forcing pedestrians onto the road.
@hahnn12 The constitutional right to free expression collides with the perceived right to drive.
@hahnn12 The main reason I avoid 1st Friday at Sante Fe is the cars, it is not the vibrancy of what is happening on the sidewalk. One day a month, the street is for vendors and art and people, it doesn’t seem like a lot to ask of a dynamic urban environment and for a city to support it.
