Both HDFC and Kotak Bank are now available at 2.5x trailing price to book. In my view, there are only 2 possibilities from here: 1. India will never become a 5 trillion economy or 2. Both HDFC and Kotak will do very well for shareholders Take your pick!
"Stocks bottom out on bad news and top out on good news" Once the market prices in this RBI action, I expect a lasting bottom on Kotak Mahindra Bank for next 3-5 years. Call me biased but this is mostly a non event (especially credit cards) looking at bigger picture.

This is the life of the average hard working Indian because there are more than a billion of us. The same hard working person will likely do very well abroad. Our population is both our strength and our weakness.
Some retail investors believe, just loading their PF with small and micro caps will automatically make them rich. Please understand only buying high growth small and micro caps with honest management at reasonable / cheap valuation will create wealth for you. It's not so easy!
