You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. - Jeremiah 29:13

My husband always said it best. COVID taught us that knowledge and wisdom are not the same thing. Our institutions are filled with people like Fauci who have credentials, degrees, and knowledge, but lack wisdom. And knowledge without wisdom, especially when combined with power, is incredibly dangerous. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” — Proverbs 9:10

Can Unforgiveness Open a Door to Demons? “When we forgive, we pull heaven down into our lives. When we choose not to forgive, we pull hell up into our lives. There’s this really weird connection in the Bible between satanic and demonic activity and unforgiveness. There’s a way that unforgiveness is like a portal straight into your soul for Satan and demons.” “You know what unforgiveness is like? It’s like a prison. And you know who’s in the prison? You are. People who don’t learn to forgive get stuck in time, and they spend the rest of their lives responding to something that happened ages ago. They live the rest of their life out of that one event.” @howertonjosh

I’ve heard the saying that “God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers.” But when I see the disciples that Jesus chose and suffered for His name sake, I don’t see Him choosing the “toughest soldiers”, as I learn about men and women in the past and even today who have laid down their lives for Jesus, once again I don’t see God choosing His “toughest soldiers.” But I see a strong and mighty God choosing weak men and woman, and empowering them by His Holy Spirit to face some of the toughest battles and be used for His glory. I once thought I was a “tough soldier” until I met Jesus, I then realized that I’m so weak without Him, and apart from Jesus I can’t do anything. I need Jesus daily. The only way that I can truly become who God wants me to be and truly do what God wants me to do, is not by my power not by my might, but only by The Spirit of The Living God. Thank you Jesus.

The gospel isn’t “find yourself.” It’s “deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow Christ.” (Matthew 16:24) You can’t look inside yourself and find the answer. You need Christ. We all do. But it’s not some punishment. Self-sacrifice is how every good relationship works. You do things because you love someone more than you love your own comfort in that moment. And vice versa. Christianity is not asking you to erase yourself. It is asking you to stop worshiping yourself. There is a big difference. Real freedom is not doing whatever you want whenever you want. Real freedom is no longer being controlled by every impulse, every emotion, every appetite, and every selfish desire. But it has to start with the realization that it’s not about you. You will not save yourself.

No matter what you do, you’ll be criticized. Win, they call you greedy. Lose, they call you lazy. So stop performing for them. Pick a noble path you can live with. You won't win over all your critics! EVER! Do you!
