Civilian deaths in Gaza rival those of Darfur – which the US called a ‘genocide’ | Alan J Kuperman theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
.@guardian With a huge difference. Around half of the deaths in Gaza are terrorists. And of the civilians, most of the casualties are caused by Hamas deliberately embedding themselves in densely populated areas so that return fire kills civilians [human shields]. Whereas to israel every death is a tragedy, to Hamas it is an asset. Dead bodies play well on TV and in their PR war. Barbarians. Then, there were over 2,000 jihadi rockets which were aimed at Israeli civilians but fell back on Gaza and they killed many of the civilians.
@guardian Genocide is a specific legal term, focused on specific conditions. It isn’t contingent on some “If X>Y then Genocide=yes” conditions. Critically, systemic purposeful intentionality underscores the idea of Genocide. Stop confounding unintentional war deaths with the ultimate evil.
@guardian You have no idea what the actual number of civilian deaths in Gaza is x.com/MarkZlochin/st…

@guardian What nonsense. You’re just a propaganda rag.
@guardian @wesammorad80 As a believer you cannot curse anyone, but when I think of Biden's soul....Brrrrrr. Is that what a devout Catholic does?
@guardian You are more than welcome to replace our precious ground soldiers who risk their lives protecting their country. I'm sure you'll do a better job. Come on, go ahead. Instead of blaming, do something. Not one sided ceasefire while Hamas promises to destroy us.
