At Google in 2014 I remember multiple occasions when Ray Kurzweil talked about the singularity at TGIF (“the lunch table”) in a very serious way
I’m significantly older than you. I started coding in the late 60s. My current strategy is to not read any of the code written by my agents. That’s the only way I can take advantage of their productivity. What I do instead is to surround the agents with extreme constraints. Unit tests, gherkin tests, QA procedures, quality metrics, mutation testing, test coverage, and a plethora of others. In the end, I have very high confidence in the code they produce because they’ve had to run the gauntlet of all of my constraints and tests.
Can't wait for the epic r/wallstreetbets loss porn when Claude tells you to
Robinhood is now open to AI agents. You can open an agentic account and connect an AI agent to it. From there, you can let it research, trade, and manage a portfolio on your behalf. Here's how to get started. 🧵
@gregce10 Thanks to Greg and @HanchungLee for such a wonderful skills-sharing session. Watch the full episode: youtube.com/live/kfCi2EBu-…

Anyone else think diffs are just annoying at this point?
Going live in 10 minutes: Show Us Your (Agent) Skills with @gregce10, @HanchungLee, and @twieOkay cool. In LinkedIn the bold, the italics don't work so we don't want that but it does on sub stack. cki. See what they're building with AI agents, how they work, and what breaks when agents meet real work. Come say hi 👇 youtube.com/live/kfCi2EBu-…
Bug-a-salt already exists
Extremely excited to announce our first air-to-air kill of a flying moth by an autonomous micro-drone. This is a big step towards completely eradicating mosquitoes.
What happens to the reasoning behind a codebase once the agent session closes? When several humans and agents work on the same codebase, the code records the result. It doesn’t preserve the conversation that produced it: the rejected approach, the correction, the architectural tradeoff, or the constraint discovered after the third failed attempt. This is the kind of problem that keeps @gregce10 (ex-GitHub, former CPO at Pluralsight) up at night. At @specstoryai, Greg and his team capture histories from Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and other tools as Markdown that can live alongside the code. Their Lore skill goes further. It mines those histories for recurring workflows and potential agent skills, using the commands that ran, the results they produced, and the human’s responses as evidence of what actually worked. This raises questions every team building with agents will need to answer: - How do we follow intent across sessions? - What should become durable project memory? - How does a new collaborator, human or agent, inherit the decisions without inheriting every dead end? - When does a chat history become part of the software? @gregce10 and @HanchungLee will join @twiecki (@pymc_labs) and me for Show Us Your (Agent) Skills this week. Thursday 16 July, 4:00pm PT Register to join us live or get the recording afterwards: luma.com/y4hylb82 Greg and me riffing hard in the early days of Agentic AI:
In episode 5 of the Agents + Engineers podcast, @gregce10 I discuss his preference running coding agents like Claude Code or Codex locally. He runs multiple agents in parallel so he can work on several projects at the same time. In speaking with experts on agentic engineering, I’ve seen a mix of preferences for running coding agents locally or remotely. There are benefits to both. Remote agents don’t require you to keep your laptop lid open. Local agents can always be steered while working and easily inherit your local toolchain. Whether running agent sessions locally or remotely, one commonality for success is providing a clear plan or spec ahead of time. Learn more about this process in the full episode. agentsandengineers.com/episodes/0005-… Also, Greg is teaching a new course, “Hardcore Agentic Engineering for builders who ship,” starting Aug 3 where he teaches his process for agentic engineering, including how to create plans that set your agents up for success maven.com/specstory/hard…
Why is it ‘cancelled’ in the U.K. but ‘canceled’ in the U.S.? Because we gave them that L in 1776.
We heard you. And we agree. In light of recent developments in physical media, GitHub is proud to announce that you can now obtain your public repo on CD-ROM. Keep it. Lend it to friends. Pass it on to your children. Your code is physically yours, forever. Until you lose it, let's be real. Order yours today. gh.io/cd
Ever want to resume a Claude Code session in Codex? Now you can! Oh wait, there's more. See all your sessions for all your projects across all your agents in one place, across everything locally on your machine. Convert between them. Try it out it in our OSS CLI.

“What is taste? I think about it more about making things legible…relatable, as being something that humans are maybe inordinately good at.” On the latest episode the Agents and Engineers Podcast, @gregce10 and I discuss a sentiment that I’ve seen often voiced online, that taste is the distinguishing feature in a world where software is cheap. To start, we have to define what taste even means. One answer is relating to other humans. Check out the full episode, No. 5, “When Software Gets Cheap, Focus Gets Expensive,” for the full conversation with Greg. agentsandengineers.com/episodes/0005-… Greg is teaching a new course, “Hardcore Agentic Engineering for builders who ship,” starting Aug 3. Learn more about the course here: maven.com/specstory/hard…
Sonnet 5 is a substantial improvement over Sonnet 4.6 on reasoning, tool use, coding, and knowledge work. Its performance is close to Opus 4.8, at lower prices.
