Made this button morph micro-interaction in Gramotion in seconds, no After Effects. A few keyframes on a group, a size animation, a text appear effect, straight to MP4. A browser motion editor that feels like Figma.
Motion graphic design has been gaining popularity lately. To build something useful in this space, we're currently working on an editor.
Fair catch, I worded that badly. It's not about who you are, it's about what you're making. Figma Motion animates a design that lives inside Figma. Gramotion is a video compositor: bring in real footage, layer audio over it, cut scenes, export MP4 or GIF at whatever framerate you want. Designers use it too. The difference is the output, not the person.

@cy_burns Our product is also great for designers who want to create motion graphics. Actually, it's for anyone who wants to create this kind of content. It really depends on what you want to create.
Figma Motion is built for designers, not video editors. Our target audience is video creators, people who want to create simple videos for their products, social media creators, and more. Figma Motion also doesn't have audio support or video import. You need to pay to export at 60 FPS, and there are many other limitations. We're building Gramotion with a very different audience and use case in mind.
