A pure, classic case of "campus censorship" and "cancel culture" of the kind the right has denounced for years: A student who earned valedictorian status at USC is barred from speaking, with the school claiming her Israel criticism veers into racism and makes students "unsafe."

Unfortunately, judging by the last 6 months, many of the pundits who have very lucratively branded themselves "free speech champions" will not only refrain from objecting to this campus censorship, but, if they speak at all, will cheer it, because Israel is a higher priority.
@ggreenwald Show me were they stopped her from speaking freely on campus? If you can't it's not "censorship". They simply will choose a different speaker for THEIR podium. She can talk all she wants, but she can't demand to be their speaker.
@ggreenwald Uai cadê a liberdade de expressão?
@ggreenwald She advocates for abolishing Israel which might darken the day for Jewish attendees. I think she should have been allowed to speak if she agreed to tamping it down.
@ggreenwald If the young lady is that bright, she should have known her commencement speech subject matter was out of bounds. Possibly she may have known and wanted the publicity.
@ggreenwald Agree they should let her speak, but she didn't simply "earn" valedictorian status, she was selected for unspecified reasons. (I suspect a student with conservative views would have little chance of being selected.)
