Did you ever think that you would know this much about politics in your lifetime? I sure as hell didn’t. I keep up with it now because I’m scared to death of what the Republicans are going to try to do to us next. I want my old life back. Now!
@gggirl924 OMG right ? ...and the kicker is I'm Canadian and probably know more American politicians and such then my own. Although things are getting a little odd up here now.
@gggirl924 I did, but it was due in part to my old high school teacher. He took us on field trips to our state house to see how bills are drafted, etc. He took us to Dachau in Germany. My father took us to polling place when we were 15 to see how to fill out a ballot.
@gggirl924 Teachers in elementary thought we should have a school newspaper. They brought me the editorial of our city newspaper paper to read. I became hooked on history & politics. Having watched from the 60’s I find the chaos our government is in now so disconcerting.
@gggirl924 I watched every minute of the Watergate Hearings but I’ve never been this enthralled. The threat of another Trump Administration is flat out frightening.
@gggirl924 I have followed politics since my thirties. But never have I followed politics so deeply as when Trump was on the ballet back in 2019.
@gggirl924 I never knew School House Rock would come to this. I know, not really politics but hey you gotta start somewhere.
@gggirl924 I would have never imagined.
@gggirl924 The future of America is frightening
@gggirl924 Totally agree - never paid attention to politics - we didn't have to worry that DC would harm us and harm America, no matter what party was in the White House or Congress. Same on state and local level. GLAD we're paying attention now, even though it's exhausting & worrisome.
