Nee @lientje1967 . De Grutto, Leeuwerik en Kievit gaan allemaal kapot door…. De LANDBOUW. 🤦♂️ De grutto, kievit en veldleeuwerik worden in Nederland vooral bedreigd door de intensivering van de landbouw, waardoor hun leefgebied ongeschikt wordt. Dit leidt tot te laag broedsucces, vooral door slechte overleving van kuikens. Belangrijkste oorzaken: - Intensieve landbouw en habitatverlies/kwaliteitsverlies: ◦Vroeg en frequent maaien (vaak al in mei) vernietigt nesten en kuikens. ◦Hoge bemesting (kunstmest) zorgt voor dichte, snelle grasgroei (vaak Engels raaigras) zonder kruidenrijkdom. Kuikens kunnen zich slecht voortbewegen en vinden weinig insecten. ◦Verdroging door lage grondwaterstanden maakt de bodem minder geschikt voor wormen en insecten (voedsel van volwassen vogels en kuikens). ◦Egaliseren van percelen, herinzaaien en schaalvergroting leiden tot monotoon, open maar arm landschap zonder dekking of microreliëf. ◦Verlies van blijvend grasland door omzetting naar tijdelijk grasland, mais of bebouwing. - Te weinig geschikt “kuikenland”: Jonge vogels hebben insectenrijk, gevarieerd grasland met voldoende dekking nodig. Bij grutto’s is dit een groot knelpunt; bij kieviten (die eerder leggen) speelt vroeg maaien iets minder, maar voedseltekort en openheid blijven problematisch. De veldleeuwerik heeft sterk te lijden onder het verdwijnen van gevarieerde, kruidenrijke percelen. - Predatie is in veel mindere mate een probleem. Maar bij predatatie is het niet de kat maar de vos, steenmarter, bunzing, kraaien, buizerd, reiger e.d. die eieren en kuikens opvreten. Weet je waarom?
