Yesterday, @atlanticlabs and @futureofcompute hosted the Future of Neuromorphic Computing meetup, gathering 30+ folks to explore how we can process information more efficiently and effectively
One thing became clear:
The next frontier in AI isn't just bigger models and faster chips. It's smarter architectures inspired by the most powerful yet efficient processor we know—the brain
Two talks showed how this may unfold:
🔹 @gemesystech showed how analog computing can unlock the future of edge AI hardware and radically low-power, brain-like performance
🔹 @SpiNNcloud showed how they're building ultra-efficient infrastructure for next-gen AI inference
To move beyond today’s compute bottlenecks, we need to rethink how we build both algorithms and hardware 🦾

The @futureofcompute Conference 2025 in London brought together 200+ attendees with one shared belief: Computing is at an inflection point.
Semiconductor progress has become prohibitively expensive.
AI advancements are delivering diminishing returns while demanding exponentially more resources.
It’s time to rethink how we process information—smarter, faster, and with entirely new paradigms.
That’s why we heard from companies building chips atom by atom, computers powered by light instead of electricity, and harnessing materials beyond silicon.
