If you think Android Development journey is steep.. it's actually even steeper than you thought #AndroidDev
@EmmaBostian All the best, good luck!!
At the moment can't really understand which is the true potential of View Model. I can introduce Observable Design Pattern and saving state in MVC without any additional effort. But probably answers will be given to me once I will use it. 2/2
I'm working actually on the basics. In these weeks switched on Kotlin while already picked my big topic to focus which is MVC and decoupling UI from business logic. I'll consider to use and study View Model and MMVM afterwords. 1/2 #AndroidDev #CodeNewbie
Pro tip ( it might not be obvious to who is approaching) for new native Android Developers : don't learn Kotlin first. Learn Java FIRST, the transition will be softer. I'm happy I spent the first 9 months in Java. Now back to digging into Rabbit holes. #AndroidDev #CodeNewbie
Interesting article that discusses event-driven design. I, personally, solved the problem of handling of events from ViewModel in a bit different manner: I don't use ViewModel. Nevertheless, the article was worth reading. zsmb.co/thoughts-about…
Ok that's it! After spending these first 8 months writing random (sh**ty) code, now it's time to go down into the rabbit holes. Understand deeply topics, in the beginning seems waste of time but surely pays off in the long term. #AndroidDev
There we go! So excited to publish my first app on @github !! A simple digital wallet to get track of all the transactions! This code is probably 100% full of bugs and not written in the best way, but it's part of the process. #AndroidDev github.com/FrankyThirdmon…
Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Try a different programming language, a different framework, a different medium. Go web, mobile, or embedded/etc. What’s the worst thing that could happen? You return to what you know. Growth is on the other side of comfort.
While I'm building the first app to publish on GitHub, I realized one of the things I really get BORED is building user interface. So disclaimer before the release, my graphics it's awful! #AndroidDev
@VasiliyZukanov While I was reading this Thread from this guy, I was like: "This guy wrote 20 parts because Vassiliy is out of social media, otherwise parts would be way less!!" 😂
I made this folder on my phone only to make ppl who know me feel like I'm a really developer! 😂 Hopefully in the next weeks/month I'll be ready to release my first app on @github ! The marathon goes on!🏁 #AndroidDev
Happy 25th birthday to @java! Did you know that almost all of Twitter's services run on the Java Virtual Machine? That @TwitterEng develops it's own fork of @OpenJDK with Twitter-specific optimizations to make Java and Scala faster? #MovedByJava
@theskd1999 @androiddevRTbot Congrats!
@rsilva_ze @androiddevRTbot Thank so much for the support..I'll check and let you know in case..spent like 5 hours and didn't figured out!
Can someone can help me to understand how to send a request to access to OAuth Api's? I'm having so hard times. For example for Twitter Api's. I've all the tokens and keys but I don't know how to use it to send a request in Android Studio #AndroidDev
You don’t have as much time as you think. Stop fucking wasting it. That call you wanted to make? Do it. That instrument you wanted to learn? Do it. That family trip you wanted to take? Do it. Don’t be left wondering “what happened?” at the end. It’s YOUR life. Live it.
@ravigarbuja I had all the same ideas you already introduced! I'll put it into my sample asap! Great job! Did you have issues with the rating limit API? Often I get the 429 error
@Drlg_Sri I think I will, maybe. But first I would like to implement some other features! 😁
Here is my very first sensible sample app! Even though is nothing fancy, I tryed to put all what I learned in my very first 7 months of Android. Type or filter a country from the list to check latest datas about #COVID19, in that country. The marathon continues! #AndroidDev
@ravigarbuja @androiddevRTbot Ahaha i was uncertain about which of the two and I missed the answer 😂 By the way Public API from the GitHub page..check in health section github.com/public-apis/pu…
