💭 Start With What You Have
For anyone waiting for the perfect laptop before starting:
This is the 15-inch MacBook Pro from 2015 that I’m building FramerKit on
Not the newest machine
But ideas, consistency, and the desire to build matter much more than hardware
FramerKit - the website, the plugin, sections, components, and templates - is being built from here
So if you have an idea, start with what you have
The laptop is just a tool
Create. Keep going. Don’t stop
And one day, you’ll post a photo with a new MacBook and two simple words:
“Thank you, Framer”
Shared a small gift in the Framer Community 🎁
FramerKit is currently #25 on FramerRanks, so I made a limited community-only discount:
25% off Lifetime Access for the first 25 people

🛠 Development Log
Today I realized I had accidentally made my own life much harder 😄
FramerKit supports both Light and Dark themes, and every component has its own Light and Dark version
The tricky part is that the preview page should always follow the website theme, while the component itself should display in the selected variant
So if the website is in Light mode, the page stays light-even when you're previewing a Dark component
And of course, the exact opposite has to work in Dark mode
It sounded simple when I designed it
Now I'm busy untangling all the logic behind it 🚀
📈 Milestone
I recently started checking FramerKit's ranking on #FramerRanks
I have a lot of respect for everyone building plugins for the #Framer ecosystem, so seeing #FramerKit reach 30 out of almost 850 plugins genuinely means a lot to me
Thank you to everyone who's using it, sharing feedback, and supporting the project
🛠 Development Log
Today I added zoom to the new FramerKit component viewer
Small UI components can now be inspected much more closely before copying them

🛠 Development Log
Another day working on the new component viewer for FramerKit
Today I finished all of the Light Card previews. Now every card opens as a real component instead of just a preview image
Slowly moving the whole library to this new format ✨

✨ New Release
Hero Section 19 is now available in FramerKit
The interactive Aura Ring is finally ready. It reacts to your cursor, includes several built-in color palettes, and also supports fully custom colors
This was a really fun one to build

🎨 Design Process
Today's focus is Hero Section 19
I've been building a new interactive Aura Ring component for the background. It reacts to hover, includes a few ready-made color palettes, and also supports fully custom colors
It looks much better in action than in a screenshot
More tomorrow 👀

🛠 Development Log
I’ve been working on a new component viewer for FramerKit for the second day now
Previously, clicking a component card only opened a static preview image. Now the new flow is ready: it opens a dedicated page with the real component, so you can preview how it actually looks and behaves before copying it
I’m now gradually moving the rest of the components to this new preview format

Happy Monday! 👋
These days I'm fully focused on making FramerKit better
While I'm working on what's coming next, here's a quick demo of how fast you can build a wireframe landing page with the plugin
Back to building 🚀
#Framer#BuildInPublic
Just added a new Avatar component to FramerKit
Upload your own image, customize the aura, border, size, and online status - all with a few controls
Available in both Light and Dark versions
What do you think? 👀

Something I've noticed while working in @framer lately
Whenever I click on an empty area of the canvas, the sidebar switches back to Agents
I like the feature and use it when I need it
But when I'm focused on building, seeing a conversation with an Agent from an hour ago suddenly appear again feels a little distracting
Most of the time I'd rather keep my attention on the canvas
One thing I find funny about the AI market right now 😅
People sell prompts that promise amazing results
Then in the next sentence explain that you still need experience and solid fundamentals to get good results
So we're back where we started 🤔
A new chapter for FramerKit ✨
Most of my time so far has gone into building the plugin, the website, and the systems behind everything
Now that the foundation is in place, I can focus on what matters most: making the library better
Going forward, I'll be redesigning existing sections, adding more visual detail to design variants, and continuing to expand the collection
Today I finished updating the design version of Hero 01. My goal is to make the gap between wireframe and design versions much bigger and much more meaningful
This is the first updated section 🚀

A quick look at adding Hero 42 🌍 from the FramerKit plugin
Open the plugin → Hero Sections → Design → Insert
A few clicks and it's ready to customize inside your project
Back to building 🚀
