Tonight, LAX will temporarily turn off its iconic gateway pylons in observance of Earth Hour. The pylons will be lit green before going dark from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. in unison with other city-owned buildings and famous landmarks across Los Angeles.
@flyLAXairport Wow, I’m amazed, you need to police your airport instead of playing with your lights. You airport is full of black cars picking up LAX passengers illegally without a TCP, no LAX permit and with out commercial insurance, your putting all your customers at risk by allowing this!
@flyLAXairport Pylons aka the big glow sticks!
@flyLAXairport @MayorOfLA How about turning it off every night. One night does nothing for the planet
@flyLAXairport I just returned from Australia and New Zealand and went through the airports at Melbourne, Sidney and Auckland and I can honestly say that LAX sucks. It’s dirty and inefficient and an embarrassment. In addition, TSA procedures pale in comparison to Australia and New Zealand.
