After tank/rebuild, if you're happy with Dolphins being a playoff-caliber team (which they weren't for years) & delivering entertaining product but not a SERIOUS S.B. contender, then be happy. If you expect a SB contender after all this trouble, then you can be unhappy. Your call
@flasportsbuzz I’m sorry, Barry, but calling this rebuild a failure because they are losing a DT and a guard seems a little bit reactionary. Both Wilkins and Hunt are good players. Neither is irreplaceable. And neither is worth the amount of money they seem to be demanding
@flasportsbuzz is this the last chance they have next year before they have to rebuild?
@flasportsbuzz This is a similar quick rebuild to the Rams - theirs resulted in a super bowl of course, but quick tear down followed. Stafford was able to pull a talent poor roster as far as he could take them this year, not sure Tua has that ability TBH
@flasportsbuzz I think it’s unfair to make that distinction bc they might lose a few players. NE did that every offseason & retooled with the draft and smart discount signings. If you have high impact players at important positions: QB, WR, CB, DE, RB as dolphins do, they will be SB contenders
@flasportsbuzz 2023 was the year to make a deep playoff run. No Rodgers. No Burrow. No Herbert. Weakest versions of Bills and KC. And yet they still flopped miserably at the end. This team isn’t serious. They just want to have fun and work on their TD celebrations.
@flasportsbuzz My guess is Fins will restructure all deals and spend all of Ross’s money in one final blaze of glory to try to win a Super Bowl before they sell the team and F-1 to Ken Griffin for $10 billion and Grier gets fired and they start over.
