My aunt was brutally murdered in 2009. She was like an older sister and a close friend to me. When I heard the news, my world began falling apart. On the way to her funeral, I joked and laughed for hours with a friend while also having minutes of severe grief and hopelessness. The laughter helped keep me from collapsing. When I heard her name at the funeral, I started dying inside and didn't want to live anymore. It was one of the most unbearable feelings I have ever experienced. At her grave, I cried, prayed, and didn't want to leave. I wanted to stay there forever. It was immensely difficult to accept the fact that she is no longer there. Yet later in the day, I still joked and laughed while also having bursts of crying and grief. The constant swing of emotions was crazy. It felt weird to think about how those days went. I later understood that this is a way I coped with severe grief. Then I learned that this is actually very common. Over the many years I would still remember her and cry and wish I could somehow see her and talk to her. 17 years later, I have still not fully gotten over it all. But I laughed days after she was murdered. Does this mean I never cared about her? Does it mean I was complicit in her murder? No. This is how humans function. Real life is not a movie. Quit being evil and harassing a grieving widow.

It really is a funny point. Zaynab, the Jewish woman who poisoned Muhammad, actually did say she wanted to test him, to see if he was indeed a real prophet. His God would have warned him. It didn't happen. The poisons effects completely changed Muhammads life, and he lived in agonizing pain until it eventually killed him. He did not live a very long life. In fact, some of his close companions were shocked to see the state he was in, at times having to drag him by his feet to his ultimate deathbed. And Allah was absent during all of this. No warnings. No cures. Nothing. And yet, Muslims believe the same Allah intervened to save Jesus from crucifixion, when Jesus overall in Islamic theology was nowhere near as important as Muhammad, who was the last messenger with a message for all peoples. Joke of a religion.
