I met a woman who works as a housekeeper. She didn’t have insurance but couldn’t get Medicaid coverage. So when her son broke his foot, she was forced to pay thousands she didn’t have to pay for his care. She’s not alone in this. Too many Georgians live in the gap left between having Medicaid coverage and insurance.
