When Kurt Russell was a kid, he worked with Charles Bronson. On discovering it was Bronson's birthday, Russell gave him a gift. Bronson took the gift and left without a word, leaving Russell worried he had upset him. Later, Bronson called Russell to his dressing room and quietly said he had never received a birthday gift before. Bronson grew up very poor, with fourteen siblings, and worked in mines from a young age, never completing school or experiencing much kindness. Bronson was touched by Russell's gesture. He later gifted Russell a skateboard for his birthday, and they became lifelong friends.

In 1987, a 74-year-old rickshaw puller by the name of Bai Fangli came back to his hometown planning to retire from his backbreaking job. There, he saw children working in the fields, because they were too poor to afford school fees. Bai came back to Tianjin and resumed his job as a rickshaw puller, securing a humble lodging near the railway station. He remained available for customers around the clock, consumed basic meals, and dressed in cast-off second-hand attire he stumbled upon. Every penny he earned through hard work went towards assisting underprivileged children in accessing education. In 2001, he drove his rickshaw to Tianjin YaoHua Middle School, to deliver his last installment of money. Nearly 90 years old, he told the students that he couldn't work anymore. All of the students and teachers were moved to tears. In total, Bai donated a total of 350,000 yuan to help more than 300 poor students continue with their studies. In 2005, Bai passed away leaving behind an inspiring legacy. If a rickshaw-puller who wore used clothes and had no education can support 300 children to go to school, imagine what you and I can do with the resources we have to bring about positive change in our world!
Yeah, He also got a skateboard and went around the lot together, but one day the Big brass told Russell he had to stop. Bronson saw that he wasn't riding the Skateboard any more asked what happened and He told him they said i couldn't ride it around the lot anymore. Bronson took Russell to the Big Brass's office told them that they were going to be riding the skateboards around the lot and that's just how it's going to be. Here's him telling the story on Jimmy Kimmel's Show.

@fasc1nate Elvis was an extremely generous person. Stuff like that happened all the time around him.
@fasc1nate Er, I’m pretty sure the tall one on the right is Clint Eastwood?
@fasc1nate Bronson was a beast.. but a gentle beast
@fasc1nate Bronson was a good actor, but, even more important, he was a good man, a decent human being. Far too few of those around this day. Especially among actors.
