I’ve spent the last week trying to wrap my head around why some folks thought @donlemon did an amazing job with the @elonmusk interview - which goes directly against my opinion. I made it an exercise to try and fight my own bias and to try my best to get myself out of my bubble - and to truly understand the “other side”. After a solid week of trying to get my head wrapped around the other side, the only conclusion I’m coming to is that Don is a really bad journalist, and anyone who thinks he “killed it” is brainwashed. Sorry 🤷🏻♂️
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon I think if he would’ve checked his activist agenda at the door, the interview would’ve been much better. Musk even gave several opportunities to drop the activism, and Lemon passed them up
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon You watch too many post-legacy media podcasts and interviews— Where the interviewer can disagree with the viewpoints, but still have a respectful and enlightening conversation That’s totally not what 🍋 is about
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon Somebody intellectually honest like Lex Friedman could’ve asked the same questions and it wouldn’t have been a shit show. It’s all about entering a conversation without a specific political agenda, and of course mutual respect.
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon At times it seemed that Elon was on the witness stand probed by opposing counsel.
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon Yup. That was his chance to prove himself worthy as an interviewer.. he blew it.
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon every question seemed to have an ulterior motive to them
@farzyness @elonmusk @donlemon Disappointed Elon was gonna sign to that ridiculous contract anyway. Bad character misjudge. A leopard does not change it's spots.
