@CP24 How many people need to be killed by an automobile to make changes to the way people drive? 30 in 2024, 28 so far in 2025. Most of those killed were not in an automobile.

Drivers must recognize that cyclists have a legal right to take the lane, and it's essential for their safety and well-being. Roads are not solely for automobiles. As the Ford government considers removing bike lanes, this practice will become increasingly important.

@fordnation @PBethlenfalvy Great news? As an Ontarian, I have numerous other issues that I would like to see improved. Increasing access to alcohol isn't one of them. Additionally, it costs taxpayers money to implement such changes, which could be better spent on more important matters.

@StevensonLDN It is a small percentage then went for policing and there is still crime in the city. Just because a project has started, doesn’t mean there will be no more issues.

@StevensonLDN @CTVLondon People living in encampments will not go hungry if meal deliveries cease. They’ll inevitably find other ways to meet their basic needs. When the support they depend on disappears, their focus will shift to survival, which may lead them to disregard how their actions affect others

Minister, The reason gridlock exists is because there are too many cars on the roads. The way to address that is not by removing opportunities to reduce cars on the roads, it’s by increasing opportunities for folx to use alternatives. Cycling is a mode of transportation, too.

Too many drivers across Ontario are stuck in gridlock for hours every day and bike lanes are making things worse. Next week, we’re introducing legislation that would require cities to get provincial approval for any new bike lanes that require removing a lane of traffic.

@LFPress @jackmoulton65 If driving lanes are removed and still can handle the capacity, there should not be any issues. It takes less space and cost for to travel by foot, cycling and transit, than by private automobiles.
