Lula sabia desde a semana passada que o Brasil levaria uma nova tarifa americana, mas nada fez para impedi-la. Poderia ter negociado, pedido ajuda na negociação, ou até mesmo ter alertado os produtores brasileiros para se prepararem para o baque da medida, mas preferiu deixar acontecer como se fosse uma surpresa. Por quê? O motivo é simples: quando as medidas econômicas de Cuba, da Venezuela, do Irã e de outras ditaduras começaram a levar seus países à ruína, a inimizade com os Estados Unidos foi usada como bode expiatório. O culpado pela crise nunca é o modelo de governo de esquerda, mas sempre as sanções americanas. Lula sacrificou o Brasil para se manter no poder.
