Today marks 159 days since the tragic murder of #MasoodMasjoody. Only 6 days remain until the July 17 court hearing. Over the past 159 days, many different stories have been told about this case. Some denied what happened. Some tried to justify it. Some spread false information. Some stayed silent. Others tried to shift public attention away from the case. But on July 17, it is no longer about competing stories. It is about the legal process. After months of discussion, this case is entering a stage where evidence, facts, and the rule of law should matter more than rumors or public noise. That is why this hearing is important not only for Masood’s family, but for everyone who believes the truth should be found. Before he was killed, Masood had spoken publicly about the threats against him and had reported some of them to the authorities. After his murder, two people were charged with first-degree murder. Many now hope that the court process will carefully examine every part of this case and, if the evidence points to other people or other aspects of the case, those will be fully investigated as well. Only 6 days remain. We hope July 17 will be the beginning of the end of the unanswered questions, a day when the legal process starts moving, step by step, toward answers that Masood’s family and the public have been waiting 159 days to hear. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody
Today marks 152 days since the brutal killing of #MasoodMasjoody, and only 13 days remain until the July 17 trial begins. One of the biggest questions this case leaves for the Iranian community abroad is this: Can we separate political disagreements from violence? We do not all have to think the same. We do not all have to support the same people, political groups, or beliefs. But we should all agree on one basic principle: no political disagreement, no investigation, no legal complaint, and no opinion should ever end with threats, intimidation, or murder. If we stay silent about violence just because the victim did not share our views, there is no guarantee it will not happen to someone else tomorrow. Safety, justice, and the right to live should never depend on a person’s political beliefs. Masood’s case is not only about one murder. It is about a line that no society should ever allow anyone to cross the line between political disagreement and violence. This is not about supporting Masood or opposing any political group. It is about defending a basic principle. If threats and violence become accepted as part of political conflict, then no one is truly safe. Today the victim may be someone we disagree with. Tomorrow it could be any independent voice. A society that speaks out against political violence only when the victim is on its own side is not defending justice. It is defending a side. Justice has value only when it is demanded for everyone, even for people we disagree with. Only 13 days remain until the trial begins. We hope this trial will help uncover the truth, bring justice, and send a clear message: no one should ever face threats or violence because they speak out, publish information, or use the legal system to seek accountability. We will continue to stand with Masood’s family and keep seeking truth and justice. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody

Today marks 151 days since the tragic killing of #MasoodMasjoody, and only 14 days remain until the trial begins. Some people believe that if they silence a person, they can also erase that person’s voice, the truth they were trying to uncover, the documents they shared, and the questions they raised. But when the truth is supported by evidence, it cannot be buried by murder. Masood did more than speak. For years, he published documents, records, and evidence that he collected. He wrote many times about networks linked to the Islamic Republic, their activities, and their influence. He also published documents about what he believed were connections involving some people in the Pahlavi movement and those close to it. These were not just a few posts on social media or simple accusations. Many of these materials became part of his legal complaints and the cases he pursued through the courts. These cases were never just personal disputes. Masood believed they were about issues that affected Iran’s security, corruption, foreign influence, and the future of the Iranian people. That is why this work should not end with his death. These documents and legal cases are bigger than one person. They deserve to be carefully reviewed by independent and experienced experts so that years of work and evidence are not forgotten. Masood is no longer with us, but the documents, reports, legal complaints, and records he left behind still exist. They do not disappear because the person who collected them is gone. Only 14 days remain until the trial begins. We hope this trial will be an opportunity to carefully examine all the evidence, uncover the truth, and deliver justice the same path Masood chose to follow through the legal system until the last day of his life. We will continue to stand with Masood’s family and keep seeking truth and justice. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody

Today marks 149 days since the brutal murder of #MasoodMasjoody. Only 16 days remain until the court hearing. Dear Masood, You only wanted to seek the truth through the law. You spoke out about people and networks connected to the Islamic Republic, as well as Pahlavi and some of his supporters whom you believed were involved in threatening and harassing you. You chose the legal path and filed formal complaints instead of responding with violence. But in return, you faced years of insults, ridicule, attacks on your character, threats, and intimidation. The pressure became so intense that you were forced to live in hiding. In the end, they took your life there. The most painful part is that the threats did not end after your death. Even today, people who speak for you and continue your fight for justice are still being threatened and intimidated. You were one of the most honorable people anyone could know. You carried this heavy burden mostly by yourself because you never wanted anyone else to be put in danger. You were kind, respectful, dignified, and incredibly intelligent. You used your voice to expose the truth, never to spread hate. You should still be alive. Like so many other immigrants in Canada, you deserved to live a peaceful and safe life. That was why you came to Canada. It was your right. But those who could not tolerate your courage and your honesty took that future away from you. It breaks our hearts to think that if their plan had succeeded, your body might never have been found, and your case could have remained a missing person case forever. But that did not happen. Your name has not been forgotten, and neither has the fight for justice for you. We will wait for the court hearing, and we will not give up on your case. We hope that justice, even if it comes late, will bring at least a small measure of peace to your grieving mother and sisters. We will stand with you until the very end. You will never be forgotten, and neither will the fight for justice for Masood Masjoody. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody

Today marks 147 days since the tragic murder of #MasoodMasjoody. There are only 18 days left until the court hearing begins on July 17. Before he was killed, Masood reported the threats against him to the Canadian police many times. He asked for help because he believed the law would protect him. But his warnings were not taken seriously. For years, many Iranian Canadians have raised concerns about people connected to the Islamic Republic living and operating freely in Canada. Many have spoken about threats and intimidation that have made members of the Iranian community feel unsafe. When someone reports serious threats to the police again and again, they should expect protection not silence. Masood came to Canada to live in safety and freedom. Instead, the very threats he reported ended in his murder. Now, with only 18 days until the court hearing begins, one question still remains: Why were Masood’s warnings ignored? Seeking justice is about more than a trial. It is about finding the truth, demanding accountability, and making sure no one else is left without protection after asking for help. We will continue to speak for Masood until there are answers and justice is served. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody

#MasoodMasjoody, Today marks 138 days since your brutal murder, and your court hearing is scheduled for July 17. As that number gets bigger, I keep thinking about how strange and unfair it is that a person’s life can become part of the past while the loss they leave behind never really does. 138 days ago, no one imagined your name would be repeated this often. Not your family, not your friends, and probably not even you. People hope to be remembered for the life they lived and the memories they created, not for the violence that cut their life short. As July 17 gets closer, more people are talking about your case. But behind all the discussions, there is something no court file can fully explain: how the absence of one person slowly becomes part of everyday life for those who loved them. Not all at once. Not only in the first days. It’s there in messages that will never get a reply. In plans that never happened. In memories that should have been made but never got the chance to exist. Maybe that’s the hardest part of all. Even after 138 days, there is still a future that should have been yours, but isn’t. And maybe that’s why we keep talking about you. Not only because of what happened to you, but because of everything that was taken away with it. Maybe justice begins here: by refusing to let your life be reduced to a few news articles or court documents. By remembering that behind every detail of this case was a real person who deserved to be alive today and deserved the chance to live the future that was taken from him. That is why we still say your name. That is why we still seek justice. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody

Today marks 130 days since the brutal killing of innocent #MasoodMadjoody, and 26 days remain until the trial. As the court date gets closer, more questions about this crime remain unanswered. From the very beginning, this case has looked less like a sudden act and more like a planned and coordinated murder. Yet many questions still remain about who was involved in organizing, facilitating, and carrying it out. A woman and a man have been charged in this case. But how did they enter the building? Who helped them gain access through an area without camera coverage? Were other people involved in planning or executing this crime? Who benefited from Masood’s death? Who did not want him to reach court with his complaint against these two defendants and Reza Pahlavi? A murder is not only the moment a life is taken. Behind every murder there are decisions, motives, planning, and sometimes people whose role goes far beyond the person who carried out the final act. Until every aspect of this case is fully investigated, incomplete answers cannot be enough. The full truth must come out, and everyone involved must be held accountable under the law. Seeking justice means refusing to let these questions be forgotten. It means continuing to demand the truth, identifying all those responsible, and pursuing full justice for Masood. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody
126 days have passed since the brutal murder of #MasoodMasjoody, and 40 days remain until the next court hearing. From the very beginning, there has been a concerted effort to frame this case as nothing more than a personal dispute. Yet the deeper one looks into the facts, the harder that explanation becomes to accept. Masood was not reckless. He had been threatened repeatedly and was known by those close to him as someone who took his security seriously. That raises a disturbing question: how did the murderers gain access through the rear entrance of the building, reach his apartment on the 25th floor, torture and kill him in such a horrific manner, remove his body from the premises, and transport it miles away into a forest in an apparent attempt to ensure it would never be found? Fortunately, that plan failed. Masood’s body was recovered, and first-degree murder charges were brought against the suspects. But the circumstances of this crime point to something far more complex than an unplanned act of violence or a private dispute. The level of coordination, preparation, and execution suggests planning. This is why so many questions remain unanswered. The issue is no longer who carried out the murder; it is who enabled it, encouraged it, or believed they could get away with it. For decades, the Islamic Republic has fostered a culture in which intimidation, violence, and the elimination of opponents are normalized. The consequences of that mentality do not stop at Iran’s borders. In this case, two of the individuals charged with first-degree murder were organizers of pro-monarchy demonstrations. That fact alone raises legitimate questions about networks, connections, and possible influences surrounding this crime. Yet instead of transparency and accountability, there has been a persistent effort to dismiss those questions and reduce everything to the convenient label of a “personal dispute.” Equally troubling is the silence. The silence of media outlets aligned with that political camp. The silence of certain journalists, lawyers, and activists. The silence of many monarchist supporters. And perhaps most strikingly, the silence of Reza Pahlavi regarding the murder of a man who had spent years publicly challenging figures and organizations within that movement through legal and political channels. No one is asking for conclusions without evidence. But refusing to examine broader possibilities, while attempting to shut down legitimate questions, serves neither justice nor truth. Sooner or later, the full picture will emerge. Influence, money, and high-powered legal teams can delay accountability, but they cannot erase reality forever. Those of us who still believe in conscience and justice will continue standing beside Masood’s family and demanding answers. We will keep asking who played a direct role, who provided support, and who continues to work to keep the truth buried. Masood’s voice has not been silenced. Justice may be delayed, but the demand for justice will not disappear. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody
125 days since #MasoodMasjoody was murdered and 41 days until the next court hearing. What happened to Masood did not begin with violence. It began with intolerance. With people who could not accept criticism, could not tolerate opposition, and chose insults, character assassination and intimidation over accountability. When a culture of silencing dissent is allowed to grow unchecked, the consequences can be devastating. Masood believed in the rule of law. He did not seek revenge, threaten anyone, or take matters into his own hands. He pursued legal channels and trusted that disputes should be resolved in court. Yet even that appeared to be too much for some to accept. If the ongoing investigation reveals that individuals connected to opposition circles that Masood had challenged through legal action played any role in this crime, it would represent a profound moral failure. No movement can claim to stand for freedom, democracy, and human rights while resorting to the very tactics of intimidation and elimination that it condemns in others. This case is bigger than one victim. It is about whether violence becomes an accepted tool for dealing with disagreement. If that line is crossed, every critic, every whistleblower, and every independent voice becomes vulnerable. We refuse to accept that future. No matter how long this process takes, we will continue to speak Masood’s name. We stand with his grieving family, we stand for the truth, and we will not stop demanding justice until every question is answered and every person responsible is held accountable. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody
Today marks 123 days since the brutal killing of #MasoodMasjoody, and there are 43 days left until the next court hearing. Over these past months, certain individuals have repeatedly tried to divert attention from the crime itself, spreading misinformation, promoting false narratives, and attempting to downplay the importance of what happened. At the same time, they have continued to attack Masood’s character, raising important questions: Why are some people so invested in reshaping the narrative around this crime and diverting public attention away from the facts? If, as they claim, they had nothing to do with this crime, why do they keep involving themselves in this case? Why the constant efforts to tarnish his reputation, spread misinformation, and attack Masood’s character? Why interfere so aggressively in something they insist has nothing to do with them? It increasingly appears that some are less concerned with uncovering the truth and more concerned about this case moving forward, reaching its conclusion, and bringing accountability to those connected to this crime. We know this case is a long road, and we are only at the beginning. We know that truth and justice take time. But our patience is strong, and our commitment will not waver. We will continue to stand with Masood’s family and keep his voice alive. We will not allow his memory to be buried, his case to be forgotten, or his blood to be ignored. We will keep demanding truth, accountability, and justice, for as long as it takes. #JusticeForMasoodMasjoody
