Findings from our TRaC PASSR II study reveal knowledge of contraceptive methods among women remains uneven across Northern & Eastern Cameroon. Awareness of at least one modern method ranges from 40.8% among girls aged 15-19 to 74.3% among women aged 25-49.

Excited to announce our new open-access study in BMC Public Health: "Family planning high impact practices in Francophone West Africa: ownership, strategies and use for programming." How are evidence-based FP practices truly operationalized at the country level? We looked at the 9 Ouagadougou Partnership countries to find out. Here is what the data shows: 1️⃣ The Disconnect: While almost all regional stakeholders know about High Impact Practices (HIPs), global HIP briefs are rarely used because they lack local and cultural contextualization. We need regional tailoring, not just standardization. 2️⃣ What's Working:Immediate Postpartum FP (IPPFP) and Community Health Workers (CHWs) are widely implemented, but systemic issues like high staff turnover and irregular financial incentives for CHWs threaten sustainability. 3️⃣ The Horizon: For lasting impact, the focus must shift from small-scale pilots to integration into health systems and equitable scale-up.
