Today in Brampton, Prime Minister @MarkJCarney joined Brampton MPs to announce $64 million in federal funding for the new Embleton Community Centre. The largest community centre ever to be built in Brampton, this 175,000-square-foot facility will feature a pool, gymnasium, fitness centre, childcare facility, as well as a variety of community spaces and outdoor recreational amenities. This funding is part of the $50 billion Build Communities Strong Fund, helping deliver the infrastructure Canadians rely on as our communities grow.

I was proud to join Eco Guardian this week to announce Ontario’s support for a major manufacturing investment right here in Aurora. Our government is providing $1.5 million through the Regional Development Program’s Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Competitiveness (AMIC) Stream to support Eco Guardian’s $11.6 million expansion—a project that will create 42 new jobs, retain 18 jobs, and strengthen our local supply chain by producing paper-based food packaging solutions right here at home. Eco Guardian’s decision to grow in Aurora reinforces what we already know: Ontario is one of the best places in the world to grow a manufacturing business. Anil said it best: this investment validates their vision and ensures they can take their work to the next level. Proud to see this kind of innovation and job creation happening in our community. 💙

It was wonderful to join Suzanne Haines at the Aurora Cultural Centre today to announce nearly $70,000 in provincial support through the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund and the Ontario Creates Music Investment Fund. This investment helps grow Aurora’s music programming, attract visitors from across Ontario, and support the revival of the Aurora Winter Blues Festival—a beloved event returning after its pause during the pandemic. Thank you to Suzanne and the entire team for their incredible work in strengthening arts and culture in our community. The festival kicks off tonight and runs all weekend—come out and enjoy an amazing musical experience right here in Aurora! 🎶💙
