Since 1950 or so, has any philosopher who writes plainly and clearly become famous outside of philosophy?

@enzoreds Has anyone who writes clearly and plainly become famous inside philosophy?
@enzoreds Depends on definition of famous, but Harry Frankfurt’s “On Bullshit” was a best seller, he was on Colbert and a bunch of other places.
@enzoreds I quit academic philosophy when a professor literally scolded me for being too legible and entertaining
@enzoreds Could Berger be called a philosopher?
