I love unlimited PTO policies, but ask questions if a company you’re considering working for offers unlimited PTO as a perk. Some companies say unlimited but punish or guilt trip you if you take it. My fav follow up: “how many PTO days do folks take yearly on average?”
During my last job hunt I asked how many days people take on average because the hiring manager kept harping on how great a perk it was. He then replied people take single digit days or 0 because they’re “so dialed in to the work”. FOH.
