I once had a guy shame me for not using a vpn but he was using nord vpn
@endingwithali I switched to @Tailscale on all my devices, enabled a few different vms in different cities for exit nodes… and also linked to @mullvadnet for an additional set of nodes… but occasionally, I need to use @NordVPN to watch a few streaming services.
@endingwithali I really love adding a few ms of latency every request + throttling my bandwidth just so I can connect to a honeypot with direct connections to government agencies.
Getting VPN-shamed by someone rocking NordVPN feels like a twist in a tech-savvy sitcom. It's a bit like being lectured on organic eating by someone munching on fast food. VPNs are the digital cloaks of invisibility we all need sometimes, but the moment becomes comically rich when the advice comes wrapped in a layer of “do better than me” irony. It’s a reminder that in the digital jungle, we’re all just trying to find the best vines to swing on. This scenario isn’t just about online privacy; it’s about the quirky, sometimes contradictory paths we take in the tech world, where even the well-intentioned advice can have us stifling a chuckle, this!!
@endingwithali I thought Nord was just to get around regional streaming restrictions and nothing more.
