@elonmusk I don’t know a single soul that was able to sell a product by announcing it at X. Perhaps SaaS or services, but not physical products.
People who used old Twitter for a decade never bought anything. Now, they sometimes buy things. Next year, it will be common. This platform is also by far the best way to reach the smartest and most influential people on Earth – those who are true influencers, not requiring the qualifier “Internet” influencer.
@elonmusk I hope you're right. Do you have plans to implement a marketplace or digital wallet next year? If payment/checkout was as simple as Amazon or Apple Pay, X would have users spending money all over the place.
@elonmusk @cadiedorange172 @brunoclz @elonmusk pls make it to where we can move our information from apple products to X.
Totally understand the desire for a product advertising/sales revenue stream, but how does the platform not become another sea of Temu junk ads? One of the primary reasons I don’t spend any time on other social media sites is because of all the garbage content. I suppose if there are more ways to opt out of ads that I’m not interested in, or am able to not see them altogether, it may not be a huge impact (depending on opt-out cost, of course). I realize it’s a difficult tight rope to walk, but I see X as a platform primarily used by more philosophically and politically inquisitive individuals (obviously this doesn’t apply to everyone) and not the typical TikTok super user who just wants that $5 iPhone case or $10 tacky t-shirt.
