The Padres have had two in-person meetings with Trea Turner, sources tell me and @Ken_Rosenthal. San Diego appears to have legitimate interest in signing the star shortstop. theathletic.com/3963253/2022/1…
@dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Genuine question…would they put turner at second with tatis at shortstop once he returns? Where would Turner fit in SD
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Tatis is moving to CF.. common knowledge
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal I would deal Tatis jr. Also, I wouldn’t accept him on my team. Horrendous desease of a player.
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Trea can play CF
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Tatis would go bye bye
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Turner wants to play short.He played second briefly after the Dodgers got him,because of Seager,but he made it clear short was his preferred position.I'm sure the winning bidder will have to assure him of that.
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal I don’t see Turner signing to play “not SS” but he has logged time at CF and 2B in his career. Tatis - if he’s ever available - can play LF, DH, or explore his trade value. They still need a 1B, right? Kim and Cronenworth can be utility/2B options.
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Tatis is going to the outfield
@eklam6 @dennistlin @Ken_Rosenthal Tatis OF Turner SS Kim 2B Cronenworth 1B Machado 3B
