Ontario needs the North! Thanks to the unstoppable @SooShoe and other proud Saultites, learned a ton about the enormous economic opportunities in front of Sault Ste. Marie. What’s good for the Soo is good for all Ontarians. So let’s make sure our politics and our policy reflect that. Also, highly recommend The Breakfast Pig, @OutSpokenBrew, @SuperiorBakery, and @holycows_ssm. And can attest to the breathtaking beaches at @PancakeBayPP. When I say I’ll be “on the ground in the North”, I mean it quite literally. Most nights we'll be camping in provincial parks – from Pancake Bay, to Sleeping Giant and Rushing River to Kettle Lakes and Kap-Kig-Iwan, among other stops. The tour is off to a terrific start. Gorgeous landscapes (@ChutesProvPark). Tasty treats (@SplitRailBrew). And candid conversations about the role of northern communities in Ontario’s economic future. Local leaders, like Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais and former Grand Council Chief of the Anishinabek Nation Reg Niganobe, are passionate about their communities.
