Successful predetonator test (ignition mechanism) using our Hydrocarbon-fuel based rotating detonation combustor. The combustor itself is a 5 kN class proof motor.
So, @dpropulse is looking for talent in the following areas: 1. Aero-thermo structures design with strong CFD skills. 2. Regenerative cooling circuit design 3. Unveiling @dpropulse's latest 5 kilonewton (kN) plus rotating detonation engine (RDE) combustor integrated with an aerospike nozzle. The aerospike nozzle is of course a natural fit for the annular geometry of the RDE combustor, besides conferring significant benefits in terms of automatic altitude compensation, compactness & structural optimization. And yes, this combustor iteration is much lighter than earlier ones.
