@dollarsanddata This phrasing is a bit confusing to me - aren't you trying to say that buying a home is a bet *IN FAVOR* of future inflation (not "against")?
@dollarsanddata And of course the expected forward rate of return on investments matters a ton as well, because that down payment money for effective investors can be a huge opportunity cost locking up that much capital early on...

@dollarsanddata Interested to see the sheet extend beyond 360 months (i.e after the mortgage is paid off). I assume both scenarios need a place to live after 30 years :-) <brushes off Sheets skills>
