@dmacpher The carbon tax is there, a constant, no matter what the shape of the line.
@dmacpher But but but it compounds all the way through the distribution chain!
@dmacpher It's an easy blame game and literally going to be the soul reason for the CPP win. Tbh it should be dropped just to prove it didn't do much of anything. Just accept it was a mistake and walk away.
@dmacpher This chart is based of reported CPI, which if you live in this economy, or buy food, you will realize has no correlation with actual prices. Massively understated.
Do you understand rising transport costs take time to filter through into costs consumers pay? This is a lagging indicator. Movements in this chart are likely reactions to market conditions 6 months to 1 year earlier. Not to mention this data is only given up to the start of 2023. A little out of date to be claiming the carbon tax doesn't affect cost of living. Can you name one single positive effect the carbon tax has had for Canadians? When asked in parliament, the government cannot even do this.
@dmacpher Conservatives have been lying about inflation from day dot.
@dmacpher Wow. I wonder how Trudeau made Germany have so much inflation?
