Ginger Brooks Takahashi is an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Art. In 2024, she joined keffiyeh-wearing students for their "Hands Off Rafah!" protest. Six hostages were later found in a tunnel in Rafah, all of them executed by Hamas as the IDF attempted to rescue them. One, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, was an American citizen. On her personal social media page, she described a pleasant day at the beach collecting driftwood. She carved "INTIFADA" into the wood and fashioned it into a shrine. In the pro-Hamas movement, that word invokes violent uprisings marked by suicide bombings, shootings, and the murder of Israeli civilians. That's the 'intifada' these academics glorify. Check out the driftwood poem from this luminary scholar: " - At the beach, collect driftwood. - Find comfort in the warm sand. - With a blade in hand... - Carve the word Intifada. - Intifada... - Intifada..." Who among us hasn’t enjoyed a lovely day at the beach and found ourselves dreaming of violent uprisings? THIS is what American taxpayers are being forced to bankroll to the tune of $455 MILLION this year.
