Very true. I think this applies specifically to Gen AI though. There are AI tools that help speed processes up, auto captioning videos is a good example. In my opinion, I know this is “controversial” or whatever, but ultimately things will even out whether people want to admit it or not. The people who are lazy will continue to make mediocre work, the people who put a lot of work into their art will always succeed for the most part. AI will just become another optional tool in which you can use or not. The only way AI possibly “takes over” is if skynet becomes real, other than that it’s a tool that’s limited to human output. Pouring out a lot of mediocre product, content, art etc will never yield amazing results. People thought CGI would replace actors when it first came out, AI at best in the media agency will just become a better CGI with very advanced capabilities, but it will never be the best most cost effective way to make something, nor will it outright replace anyone who is at a high level within their craft. To think it will happen is just the same mentality people had with CGI, it’s really silly if you just think about it.
