@deemadigan A cash rate stuck at 0.10% with no lift in official interest rates since 2010 is not a sign of a strong economy so how is this considered a winner for the Liberals?
@deemadigan These are the statistics that Labor need to promulgate widely at every chance.
@deemadigan @simpsubhswf I notice that the wealth figures are unavailable. Has this been done deliberately by the Morrison government?
@deemadigan Add to that: Ratio of average wealth to CPI for the same period Bottom20% 07-13 ALP 375.1 13-20 LNP 333.1=11.2%fall Top 20% 07-13 ALP 26377.8 13-20 LNP 27803.7=1.8%gain Under LNP, Top 20% have grown real wealth while bottom 20% have fallen behind. Trickle down doesn't work.
@deemadigan @gizmosudo Thanks Dee, for challenging the LNP rhetoric. Should note that the cash rate is set by the Reserve Bank, not the Govt of the day, in response to prevailing economic conditions, and that almost every economist views the current rate as a sign of weakness.Hardly a win for the LNP!
@deemadigan @farrm51 Apart from pandemic fuelled debt there is actually no statistical difference between the two parties on the indicators Labor is claiming to be ahead on.
@deemadigan @farrm51 Yep we need "emergency" level interest rates - chalk up a win for the LNP
