Biggest takeaways from THR’s article on Melissa Barrera’s #Scream firing: - Spyglass lied, saying she was “warned” before being fired. - Radio Silence didn’t “exit” #Scream7 on their own—Spyglass essentially booted them too. - Christopher Landon was seemingly screwed as well.
And lastly: Support #Abigail in theaters April 19th! Melissa and Radio Silence deserve to be rewarded for being genuinely decent people who make awesome horror movies. Spyglass is proof that’s not always a given in this industry, sadly.
@deathbydialogue It's hard to get excited about another SCREAM film knowing so many people were screwed over.
@deathbydialogue She still did Scream 6 and didn’t stand with Neve so 🤷♂️
@deathbydialogue Landon quit the film after being harassed by certain “fans” on social media. I’m not sure why there’s so much confusion surrounding that one. He was quite upfront about it and even replied to some of the “fans” that were toxic to him after he officially left the project.
@deathbydialogue How do you know she’s not lying?
@deathbydialogue I will absolutely be seeing Abigail. Not only is it a great chance to support these three, it also looks like a ton of fun. An original premise means more liberty for them to continue to develop their own unique signature, which I’ve enjoyed thus far.
@deathbydialogue And I’ll be there opening night to see Scream 7
@deathbydialogue @BillBrasky2620 This makes more sense considering so many young celebrities have spoken out for Palestine. It always came off as fishy to me that they let her go for that.
