Kids who didn’t grow up in playgrounds that were dangerous enough to take your fingers and break your arms ended up being adults who cry in their cars while filming themselves for social media to seek validation and attention. Bring back the see-saws.
@deaflibertarian I broke my arm jumping out of swing when I was ten. Pretending to be Batman.
@deaflibertarian @MamaSaysNo1 I probably would not have liked going to a 🛝 where I could actually injure myself. I once stepped on a stray board with a nail while shutting off the 💦 after running through the sprinkler. That wasn’t something I could just shake off, Nail went through the bottom of my 🦶.
@deaflibertarian Merry go-rounds, monkey bars, jungle gym, and box hockey.
@deaflibertarian I'm convinced the see-saw is why I have back and knee problems today.. I wouldn't change a thing
@deaflibertarian Gen-X adults. We learned the hard way what FAFO meant.
@deaflibertarian The 14 foot tall monkey bars on an asphalt playground. You'd come down through those like Plinko and hit solid pavement.
@deaflibertarian My sister and brother have a scar in the same place on their face from the same wooden playground park. So fun but so many splinters 😬😬
I’m completely deaf in my left ear when I feel from the top of a slide in 1975 🤦🏼♀️. Also dislocated my shoulder and was in the hospital for a couple days. Went right back up the slide when I got better, although dealing with the deafness has been a slight challenge my whole life. I agree. Our playground equipment made us tough! And we learned how to cooperate, and work together and who NOT to trust—-especially on that damn seasaw!
@deaflibertarian Some of the kids protesting clearly have never been disclipined. 😬😬😬
